These terms apply when you book a photo booth or related service from Snap Booth Events (“we”, “us”). By paying a deposit or confirming a booking, you (“the client”) agree to them. Your quote or booking confirmation lists the details of your event; if anything there differs from these terms, the confirmation applies.
1. Booking and deposits
Your date is reserved only once we receive the non-refundable booking deposit shown on your quote or invoice. Until then, the date stays open to other clients.
The deposit holds the date and covers planning and design work, and it is applied to your total.
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes (HST) are added to your invoice. Quotes are valid for 14 days unless they say otherwise.
2. Payment
The remaining balance is due 14 days before your event. Bookings made within 14 days of the event are paid in full when booked.
We accept Interac e-Transfer and the other payment methods listed on your invoice.
If the balance is not received by the due date, we may treat the booking as cancelled by the client (see section 3).
Extra time or add-ons requested on the day are billed at our current rates and are due within 7 days of the event.
3. Changes, rescheduling and cancellation
Changes to your package or add-ons can be made until the balance due date, subject to availability. Upgrades are always welcome after that if we can accommodate them.
Rescheduling: if you ask at least 30 days before the event, we will move your deposit and payments to a new date within 12 months, subject to availability. Price differences for the new date or package apply.
Cancellation by you: the deposit is non-refundable. Other payments are refunded if you cancel more than 14 days before the event; within 14 days, the full booking amount is owed because we have turned away other bookings for your date.
Cancellation by us: in the rare case we cannot provide your service, we will first try to arrange a comparable replacement. If that isn’t possible or acceptable to you, we refund everything you have paid, including the deposit. Our responsibility is limited to that refund.
Your booked hours are the time the booth is open for guests. Setup (usually 60–90 minutes) and teardown happen outside those hours at no extra charge.
If our team must wait more than 60 minutes beyond the agreed setup time because the space isn’t ready, or the booth must stay set up but closed for a period you request, idle time may be billed at our hourly rate.
Extra hours can be added on the day if our schedule allows and are billed at our current hourly rate.
For attended packages (Essential, Signature and Premium), our attendant runs the booth and may pause it briefly for breaks, paper changes or safety.
We may refuse service to anyone who is abusive, unsafe or damaging equipment, and may stop the service early if our staff or equipment are at risk. Time lost this way is not refunded.
5. Venue and setup requirements
You are responsible for confirming that your venue allows a photo booth and for any venue fees, permits or insurance certificates the venue requires. Tell us early if your venue needs our insurance details.
Please provide a flat, level space of about 8 × 8 feet (2.5 × 2.5 m), within reach of a standard grounded electrical outlet. Wi-Fi is helpful for instant sharing but not required.
Outdoor setups need a covered, level area protected from rain, wind and direct sun. We may delay or end an outdoor service if conditions put guests or equipment at risk.
Accurate venue details, access times, parking and loading information help us arrive on time. Parking, loading or elevator fees at the venue are the client’s responsibility.
Our prices cover Toronto and the GTA. Travel outside our service area may carry a travel fee, quoted in advance.
6. The Social (self-service drop-off booth)
The Social is delivered, set up and picked up by our team in select areas, and runs without an attendant for up to 8 hours. It does not include printed photos.
From drop-off until pickup, the client is responsible for the booth and its accessories, including keeping it indoors (or fully sheltered), away from drinks and food, and supervised so that it isn’t moved, misused or damaged.
Children should use the booth with adult supervision.
Someone 18 or older must be present at drop-off and pickup at the agreed times. A missed pickup that requires a return trip may be billed.
7. Equipment, guests and damage
All booths, backdrops, props and accessories remain our property.
The client is responsible for loss of, or damage to, our equipment caused by guests or venue staff (beyond normal wear), and will be charged the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
Props are for use at the booth and must stay at the event.
8. Photos, galleries and sharing
Guests can share their photos instantly by text, email or QR code. After the event, you receive a link to an online gallery of every photo taken, available for at least 12 months. Please download any photos you want to keep.
You may use your event photos for any personal purpose. Corporate and brand clients may use their event photos in their own marketing.
We may use a small selection of event photos and booth setups on our website and social media to show our work. If you prefer that we don’t, tell us before the event or email us any time and we will not use or will remove them. See our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for letting your guests know a photo booth will be present. Guests can always choose not to use it.
Custom designs we create for your event (templates, overlays, signage) remain our work, licensed to you for your event and its photos.
9. Liability
We test our equipment before every event and bring backups where practical. If a technical problem we cannot fix stops the booth for part of your booked time, we will refund a fair share of the booking amount for the time lost.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as loss of enjoyment, beyond that amount.
We are not responsible for injuries or damage caused by guests’ misuse of the booth or props, or for content guests choose to create or share.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ontario consumer protection law.
10. Events beyond our control
If an event outside anyone’s reasonable control (such as severe weather, public health orders, road closures, power failure at the venue, or venue cancellation) prevents the service, we will work with you to reschedule within 12 months, and your payments will carry over. If rescheduling isn’t possible, payments other than the deposit are refunded.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect on the date you book applies to your booking.
