Snap Booth Events (“we”, “us”) is a photo booth rental company in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect from clients, website visitors and event guests, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. What we collect
Enquiries and bookings: your name, email, phone number, event date, event type, venue or address, the package you are interested in and anything you tell us about your event.
Event details: information needed to deliver your service, such as venue contacts, setup times, design preferences, logos and names or dates for your photo template.
Payments: records of payments and invoices. We do not store full card numbers on our website.
Event photos: photos, GIFs and videos taken in our booths, and any contact details guests choose to enter to receive their photos (see section 3).
Website data: basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security, spam prevention and to understand how the site is used.
2. How we use it
To reply to your enquiry, check availability and send you a quote.
To plan, design and deliver your event, and to send you your photo gallery.
To process payments and keep business and tax records.
To protect our website and forms from spam and abuse.
To improve our services and website.
We only collect what we need for these purposes, and we use it only for the purpose it was given to us, unless you agree otherwise or the law requires it.
3. Event photos and guest information
Who controls the photos: photos taken at your event are shared with you, the client, through a private online gallery. Guests receive their own photos when they choose to share them by text, email or QR code.
Guest contact details entered at the booth are used only to deliver that guest’s photos. We don’t add guests to our mailing list. For brand activations, if a client asks to collect guest contact details for their own marketing, guests are told at the booth and must opt in; the client is then responsible for how they use that information.
Our portfolio: we may feature a small selection of photos and setups on our website and social media. We ask clients first, and we will remove any photo of you on request — email hello@snapboothevents.com with a description or link.
AI photo experiences process guest photos only to create the requested image. Photos are not sold or used to train third-party AI models by us.
4. Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:
our website host and email provider;
photo booth software and online gallery services that deliver photos to you and your guests;
payment and accounting providers;
staff or contractors working your event.
These providers are required to protect your information. Some may store data outside Canada (for example, in the United States), where it may be subject to the laws of that country. We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. Emails and marketing
We send emails needed for your enquiry or booking, such as quotes, confirmations, reminders and your gallery link. We only send promotional emails if you have agreed to receive them or as permitted by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and every promotional email includes a way to unsubscribe.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses a small number of cookies needed for it to work and to protect our forms. If we use analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site, it collects information about pages visited in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t become bookings are deleted within 24 months.
Booking, invoice and payment records are kept as long as required for tax purposes (generally six years in Canada).
Online event galleries remain available for at least 12 months after your event, after which they may be removed. Please download the photos you want to keep.
8. How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), password-protected systems with limited access, and service providers with appropriate security. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw consent and have it deleted (unless we must keep it by law, such as payment records). You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. We respond to requests within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
